Syntax Gallery is pleased to present works by Andrey Anro (b. 1987, Belarus) and Dmitry Bulnygin (b. 1965, Russia) at Untitled Art Fair.
Syntax Gallery's participation is part of a special grant program launched in 2019 by Cube.Moscow, the innovative platform for collaboration of galleries, artists, curators and other art professionals, and iPureland, a New York-based curatorial, production and creative collaborations agency.
ARTIST
Andrey Anro
Basic tools are painting, photography, digital collage, installation. Anro explores topics such as collective memory, historical heritage, politics, dictatorship, religion, disappearance and death. Member of the art group "Who Except Us". The artist's works are in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (MOCAK), in the ART4 Museum in Moscow, in private collections in Sweden, Bulgaria, Canada, Russia, and the USA.
Dmitry Bulnygin (b. 1965) graduated from the Novosibirsk Architectural Institute in 1990, founded the International Extra Short Film Festival (ESF) in 2000, was a member of the Blue Noses art group in 1999-2004. Since 2013 Bulnygin has been creating video installations using video mapping technology, whereas 2016 saw the start of work on a series of sculptures. Currently lives and works in Moscow.
